Matt Rodda MP
Labour MP for Reading East
Matt was elected as the Member of Parliament for the Reading East constituency in June 2017. Prior to becoming an MP, Matt was a Councillor with Reading Borough Council and has represented Katesgrove Ward from 2011 to 2018. As the Member of Parliament for Reading East Matt is campaigning against austerity. He believes that the Government’s cuts have gone too far and that they need to be challenged and addressed.
In addition to his constituency role, Matt is the Shadow Minister for Local Transport, and works closely with the Shadow Secretary of State for Transport, Andy McDonald MP. Matt has lived in Reading for over 18 years. He is married with two children.
